This week the Island is going great with some Zip Lining, some Dew Swinging and just nice hanging around in creation.

July 24th, 2015 – Glen Ellyn and Hinsdale Cov Youth Groups take on The Island!
Glen Ellyn and Hinsdale Covenant churches have decided to form together on The Island this week for a week in God’s creation.

July 16th, 2015 – Islanders Took a Trip to Ottawa Today!
Today the Islanders went on a couple mile hike to lake Ottawa and made their own boats to sail!

Our Islanders this week have been doing a lot of lake exploring and Tarzan swinging!

Week 8: Island, August 3-9
The 6th and final week on the Island is off to a wonderful start. Campers engaged in the ropes courses, low elements, and quiet time.

We welcomed 11 families for our third week of family camp this summer! Our speakers this week were Phil Staurseth, the Senior Pastor at Ravenswood Covenant, and Trevor Nicholas who together incorporated very funny skits and engaging stories to help us learn more about what it means to be in community and live more like Jesus! We had a wonderful week of excursions, Braveheart & Narnia, a trip to the Island, sleepovers in Yurts and even some time sharing families talents in our Open Mic night!

The Islanders spent an amazing week in the rustic beauty of camp. They hiked to Ottawa Lake, did high ropes, and had fun on the Mountain Dew Swing. The week was great for spending time in community with each other and God.

With high ropes, fellowship, community building, and all-around fun, the second week of Island camp was an amazing time.

The Island has kicked off its summer with a small group of amazing kids. The low elements, high ropes, and time spent with God in nature all provided a wonderful start to a great week and extraordinary summer. Be sure to come back later for more pictures.
