  • Encourage and contribute to a healthy staff community and team.
  • Be able and willing to serve in and outside their job description.
  • Demonstrate willingness to work hard, be flexible and responsible at all times.

Summer 2025 Staff applications OPEN October 15, 2025! Apply to join us!

The full summer 2025 employment is ten weeks (Sunday, June 8 – Thursday, August 14, ), but longer for leadership positions and others who opt to start early. Hiring priority will be given to staff who are able to be here the entire summer. Some positions do not allow for week(s) off during our summer programing.

Start dates vary based on the applicant and position. These will be decided upon and communicated between the hiring team and the applicant on an individual basis. Staff training officially begins June 8 (though we’ll welcome staff to arrive and begin as early as May 11 to help with rental groups) and summer staff employment concludes on August 14 after a celebratory staff dinner the evening of August 13.

For those seeking lifeguard certification, training must be obtained prior to arrival, but CPR/First Aid/AED training is provided during the first week of staff training for staff who do not already have CPR or lifeguard certification (if you must miss this training, you are responsible for obtaining it outside of camp prior to arrival).

Start Dates: Staff training is required for all staff members. Some exceptions can be made upon request/needs.

  • Leadership staff training begins Monday, June 2, 2025. We’d welcome arrivals as early as May 11 to begin planning and helping with a large rental group.
  • Trip Guide Training:
    • WFR Training: Dates and location TBD, but likely mid-May.
    • Trip guide training onsite: May 26-29, 2025.
  • Staff training for ALL begins Sunday, June 8, 2025
  • Earlier starts are encouraged! Any available summer staff are welcome to join us for employment as early as able to help host a large rental group as early as May 11.

End Dates:

  • You may request time off if necessary, but we may not be able to accommodate it.
  • Summer staff employment ends Thursday, August 14, 2025.

Certifications:

      • Lifeguard Training for those who need or desire to be certified will need to take place prior to your arrival at CPBC. Lifeguard certification is valid for 2 years. CPBC will reimburse you for the cost of your LG training, plus pay all lifeguard certified staff an additional $30 per week.
      • CPR Training (required for ALL staff) will be during our first week of staff training, or will be a blended option partially online prior to arrival and in-person after you arrive at CPBC.
